JP Nadda is BJP incharge for Uttar Pradesh

Nadda will oversee the party affairs as the prabhari for the politically crucial state of UP which sends 80 MPs to the Lok Sabha, while former Gujarat minister and party's Hindutva face Gordhan Zadafia will be the Election incharge.

In the run-up to the 2019 elections, BJP president Amit Shah on Saturday appointed Union Minister JP Nadda as prabhari (incharge) for Uttar Pradesh, as well as Election incharges and co-incharges for six other states and two Union Territories.

Nadda will oversee the party affairs as the prabhari for the politically crucial state of UP which sends 80 MPs to the Lok Sabha, while former Gujarat minister and party's Hindutva face Gordhan Zadafia will be the Election incharge. Zadafia will be assisted by party vice-president Dushyant Gautam and Narottam Mishra, a former MP minister, in their role as election co-incharges.

For Karnataka, party general secretary Muralidhar Rao will be the election in-charge while former minister in Rajasthan government Kiran Maheshwari will be the co-incharge.

Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has been appointed as the election incharge for Delhi and former Madhya Pradesh minister Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya has been appointed as co-incharge.

Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has been appointed as the election incharge for Tamil Nadu and Union Territories of Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar, party's Karnataka unit general secretary CT Ravi will be the co-incharge there.

Senior party leader Kalraj Mishra has been appointed as election in-charge for Haryana, while former Madhya Pradesh minister Vishwas Sarang has been appointed as co-incharge.

For Tripura and Jammu & Kashmir, party vice-president Avinash Rai Khanna has been appointed as election in-charge.
