Journalist burnt alive: Forensic investigation completed

Forensic investigation in the murder of journalist Jagendra Singh by a team, including two scientists from Lucknow, has been completed and the findings would now be shared with the local police, a senior officer said here on Thursday.

Forensic investigation in the murder of journalist Jagendra Singh by a team, including two scientists from Lucknow, has been completed and the findings would now be shared with the local police, a senior officer said here on Thursday. 

"Yesterday it was expected that a unit from Moradabad and two senior scientists from Lucknow, who are expert in investigating such scene of crime, will visit Shahjahanpur and collect forensic evidences and recreate scene of crime," IG (Law and Order) A Satish Ganesh told reporters here. "All these measures have been taken and the field unit which visited the spot will share its detailed findings with Shahjahanpur police," he added.

On being asked about action taken against policemen named in the FIR he said, "No administrative action has been taken so far." The statements of the victims' side were being recorded. "If any action is taken, it is part of the investigation," Ganesh said.
