Tragedy hit Indian army after a soldier injured in the Pakistani army shelling along the Line of Control on February 4, succumbed on Sunday. 

Gunner Kishore Kumar Munna of 278 Field  Regiment had received splinter injuries during the ceasefire violation by Pakistan army along the Line of Control in Poonch Sector on February 4. 

Gunner Munna was immediately evacuated to Command Military Hospital, Udhampur for medical treatment. After seven days, he lost a battle with life and died on Sunday morning.
        
Hailing from Village Bramah of  District Chatham in Bihar, Gunner Munna is survived by his mother Tolu Devi.

 A ceremonial farewell with full military honours will be held at Nagrota on Monday morning. Later the mortal remains of the brave heart will be moved by aircraft to Patna. Thereafter he will be moved by road to his hometown on February 13.

"Gunner Kishore Kumar Munna was a brave and sincere soldier. The nation will always remain indebted to him for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty", said an army spokesman. 

More than 21 people have been killed in the Pakistani shelling on Line of Control (LoC) and International border (IB) across Jammu division since January 17.   More than 50 people have suffered injuries and 50,000 people have fled their homes in Jammu division
