JD(U) open letter to Rabri Devi questions Tej Pratap, Tejashwi Yadav's 'sanskaar'

Earlier on Friday, Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi had written an open letter to CM Nitish Kumar demanding to know who he was trying to protect in the Muzaffarpur horror home case and why.

Launching a counterattack on the Opposition, which has targeted the government over the Muzaffarpur shelter home horror, the ruling Janata Dal-United (JD-U) penned an open letter to former Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Vice President Rabri Devi daring her to expel tainted leaders from her party and home before staging dharnas to seek justice for women.

The letter written by three women spokespersons of the JD-U – Anjum Ara, Shweta Vishwas and Bharti Mehta – challenged the 'sanskaar' (values) that Rabri has given to her sons – Tej Pratap and Tejashwi Yadav and alleged she had failed to instill any good values in them. "You may not be knowing but they were accused of eve teasing in 2008. Neither could you teach them political values, nor did you make them men of good character. This is the reason they want to shame Bihar in front of the entire nation today," the letter said.

The JD(U) leaders cited the example of Mani Prakash Yadav, who served as a an assistant of Tejashwi Yadav when he was the Deputy CM in the Mahagathbandhan government, and who has been jailed and charge sheeted in an immoral trafficking case. "Mani is also related to you and lives in your house. Such people are bound be have bad influence on your children. Shouldn't you remove them from your house and party? Because power may come and go, but values need to be taught to children at a certain age," says the lettter.

RJD MLA Rajballabh Yadav, who is in jail on accusation of raping a minor girl, was also mentioned in the letter, in which the JD(U) leaders said they hoped that Rabri being a women will understand the plight of other women. "We expect that you will expel from your party those people who indulge in antisocial and immoral acts. It is also your responsibility that Bihar does not return to jungle raj," they said.
