External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met Sartaj Aziz on the sidelines of the SAARC summit in Pokhara on Thursday. Aziz is currently the advisor of Pakistan PM on foreign policy matters.
Aziz gave the SAARC summit invitation for PM Modi to Sushma Swaraj, slated to be held later in the year at Pakistan. After the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the dialogue. Swaraj confirmed that the Pathankot terror attack, which had temporarily stalled bilateral talks between the two countries, was discussed. Swaraj also said that the Joint Investigation Team from Pakistan to probe the Pathankot attack will arrive in India on March 27.

Aziz said that the meeting was held in a positive atmosphere and expressed hope that PMs of both countries will be meeting in the US on the sidelines of the nuclear summit. Swaraj also echoed similar sentiments saying,

She said that atmosphere at this year's meeting was different from previous ones.

Aziz said that they also discussed their differences with each other.
