IIM CAT 2018 registrations end today at iimcat.ac.in: Check steps to fill form and payment of fee

The registrations for the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Common Admission Test (CAT) 2018 have begun.

The IIM CAT admit cards will be made available at the official website from 24th of October till the date of exam. The IIM CAT 2018 is scheduled for 25th of November, 2018. The declaration for the exam date is tentatively scheduled for the second week of January, 2019. 

Important Dates for IIM CAT 2018:

-Registration Begins – Wednesday, 8th August 2018

-Registration Ends – Wednesday, 26th September 2018, 5PM

-Download Admit Card – Wednesday, 24th October 2018 to 25th November 2018

-CAT 2018 Exam Date – Sunday, 25th November 2018

-CAT 2018 Results – Second week of January 2019

-CAT 2018 Score Validity – 31st December 2019


(Important dates for IIM CAT 2018) 


Steps to register for IIM CAT 2018:

1.Log on to the official IIM CAT website.

2. Click on the ‘New Candidate Registration’ and then click on ‘Register’

3. Candidate will be directed to new page or tab.

4. Fill the required information.

5. Generate an OTP

6. Click on ‘Submit’

7. After the entire process of registration, candidate will receive a confirmation email and a message on the registered mobile number 

8. The mail and the message will have login ID and password 

9. Fill the IIM CAT 2018 application form with the help of these login credentials 

Note: The subject line of the mail will be ‘CAT 2018 LOGIN DETAILS’. The candidate will also receive a message on the registered number with the login ID and password from LM-IIMCAT. 
Application Fee and Payment Mode for IIM CAT 2018

IIM CAT 2018 FEE STRUCTURE: 

-  Rs.1,900 for general and NC-OBC candidates 

- Rs.950 for SC, ST and PwD candidates

Note:The final payment may include taxes and additional charges on the mode of payment.

About Indian Institutes of Management (IIM)

IIMs are considered India’s premier national institutes providing quality education in management and research. IIMs primarily offer post graduate, doctoral and executive education programmes. The flagship programme of IIM, is the two year post graduate diploma (PGDM) popularly known as Master of Business Administration (MBA). These two year programmes are residential in nature. The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is a full time doctoral level programme in management and research equivalent to Ph.D degree. The Executive Post Graduate programmes are targeted for working professionals.

Admission to the two year PGDM programmes in IIMs are on merit, based on a rigorous selection process comprising of Personal Interview, Written Ability Test / Group Discussions, and scores in the
Common Admission Test which is commonly known as CAT. CAT is a management aptitude test conducted by the IIMs primarily to evaluate and shortlist candidates for the post graduate programme. It is a computer based exam available for eager and eligible candidates to register and take once a year.

As per Government of India norms, IIMs reserve 15% seats for SC candidates, 7.5% seats for ST candidates and 27% seats for NC-OBC candidates. 5% seats are also reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities. IIMs also provide scholarships to deserving students who need financial support.
The Indian Institutes of Management are public establishments with autonomous control over its day to today operations and curriculum. Today, there are 20 IIMs as public autonomous institutes in India.
