I have a personal relationship with Sonia Gandhi: Mamata Banerjee

The Bengal CM said she would meet the Congress president with whom she had a good rapport, but refused to comment on the candidate for presidential poll.

Indicating that the Trinamool Congress is still undecided over the choice of candidate for the presidential poll, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday said she has not spoken to anyone over the issue as yet.

"I did not speak to anyone. I am going to Delhi. When I am in Delhi, I will meet everyone because I was a member of Parliament for 25 years," she told reporters when asked if she would discuss the presidential poll issue in Delhi.

The TMC supremo is going to the capital to attend a meeting of chief ministers on NCTC.

She said she would meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi with whom she had a good rapport.

Asked if she would discuss presidential election with Gandhi, she said, "I have not met her for a long time and I will enquire after her well being since she was not keeping well. I have got a personal relationship with her."

Congress sources had earlier said her meeting with Sonia Gandhi was billed for May three when the two leaders are likely to discuss the presidential poll issue.
