The good news for Hyderabad is that the State Road Transport Authority has launched a mobile app called M-Wallet. This was was launched by IT minister KT Rama Rao and transport minister P. Mahender Reddy on Wednesday.

The New Indian Express reports that the app lets a user download digital copies of documents like driving licence and registration certificate. This is very useful especially when the police or RTA authorities ask for them.

As soon as it was launched people in the city started downloading it, adds the report. Around 411 of 1,000 people who downloaded the app on Google Playstore gave it 5 stars. The overall rating was 3.6. On iOS, it got 4 plus rating.

But many people still had queries about certain issues. Those who got their licence in Andhra Pradesh stated that the app supported only those from Telangana. According to user feedback, the documents available with the Telangana state RTA can be downloaded.

But there were other complaints too reported the daily. Insurance documents and pollution-under-control certificates were not part of this initiative.
