Hyderabad: Gay sex partner killed ISRO scientist for money, say cops

ISRO scientist, who was found murdered in his apartment in Hyderabad on Tuesday, was killed by a man who demanded money from him in exchange of gay sex.

The official of National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was found murdered in his flat in Hyderabad's Ameerpet are late on Tuesday.

S Suresh Kumar hailed from Kerala and was alone in his flat. When he did not report to the office on Tuesday, his colleagues called him on his mobile number. As there was no response, they alerted his wife Indira, who is a bank employee in Chennai.

Three teams were formed by ACP Panjagutta to probe the matter. Police examined evidences like CCTV footages of movement of suspects, fingerprint recovered at the crime scene and phone of deceased. Based on the above investigation, police nabbed a 39-year-old lab technician from a diagnostic Centre in Ameerpet. According to a police statement, Suresh was lonely and had economic issues.

Taking advantage of this, the accused Janagama Srinivas allegedly seduced him using the excuse of collecting blood, said the police statement.

The accused expected money in return of sex. As he did not get the expected amount of money, Srinivas hatched a plan to kill Suresh.
