Days after he advised people to adopt the "996" (9 am to 9 pm, six days a week at workplace) philosophy, Alibaba founder Jack Ma has now shared a secret for an improved life – go for "669" (sex for six days, six times, with duration being the key).

China's richest man was speaking at a mass wedding that his company organises every year on 'Ali Day' – May 10 – at its headquarters in Hangzhou.

"At work, we emphasize the spirit of 996. In life, we should follow 669," Ma said, in a wordplay on Alibaba's debatable 12-hour work schedule.

"What is 669? Six days, six times, with duration being the key," Ma told 102 couples, reported Daily Mail.

Alibaba posted the quote on its official page on Weibo with a winking emoji, which drew varying reactions net users. "Who on earth would have the energy to 669 at home after 996 during work" wrote one user.

The 'sexy' advice caught the imagination of social media users elsewhere too. "I am curious whether this 669 can be included in 996 ? I mean in the office hours," tweeted the handle @FamouslyI.

Another user, @debarati_m, wrote: "He should also explain that how Alibaba employees will get the most from the spirit of 669 in bed after getting @#$%ed up by 996 philosophy at work."

In Chinese, the word 'nine', or 'jiu', is a homophone with the word for 'long'.

Jack Ma's advice comes at a time when China has been besieged with a dwindling birth rate and mounting pressure on the country's slowing economy. Many couple opt not to have babies owing to costly house and education.
