Ahead of the 'mela' (festival) at Yamunanagar Temple, a bizarre diktat by the ML Khattar government in Haryana has been a cause of immense tension for some teachers. They have been asked to take training to carry out the functions of 'pujari' (priest) and even distribute 'prasad' during the mela at the temple, claim media reports.
Some teachers are set to face disciplinary action after they defied the state government order to attend a compulsory 'priest training' on October 29. Some teachers have reportedly been served show cause notice by the government.
