Dr. Subhash Chandra, Chairman, Essel Group and ZEE  addressed over 400 students of the Symbiosis International University, Lavale, Pune. He discussed the true meaning of success and the various ways to attain it during the session. Explaining that gaining success is a continual process, he said, "A successful person is one who builds a strong foundation with the bricks that have been thrown at him. Success is not a final destination, it is a journey. If a person considers it as the final destination, then it will go away. Instead, we should let the success within us drive us even further.”

In an interactive session with the student of the college, Dr. Chandra said, "Only monetary gains does not mean success. Having well-maintained relationships or spreading joy in the society is success too. You should consider them as success too."

Addressing the students and their varied questions about the most effective way to be successful, Dr. Chandra said, "There are several things that will pose as a problem on your path to success, like laziness or lack of proper attitude. But the major obstruction is your ego. If you think why should i do something, then the opportunity that came knocking on your door, will go back.”

To encourage the students he said, "If you have given your best to some work, even if you don't succeed, you are successful. This is my theory."

Dr. Chandra also opined that if 90% luck and 10% hard work theory is true, then without hard work there is no value of that luck. Talking about confidence, Dr. Subhash Chandra says, "Never let your confidence be shaken. It is anti-success."

On an ending note, Dr Subhash Chandra says, "Past will make you regretful of many things, thinking of future will bring anxiety. But living in the present will help you stay focussed and concenterated whcih will help you succeed. This is the mantra of success."

Dr. Chandra concluded his session with an insightful message about success and how important it is to give something back to the society, “The true measure of how successful you are lies in what you have given back to society, rather than the materialistic gain that may have come along with it."

The session was organised as part of the episodes of the Dr. Subhash Chandra Show.
