Gujarat polls: BJP honchos descend in

National leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will descend in on the state today to campaign for their party’s victory in the upcoming assembly elections.

National leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will descend in on the state today to campaign for their party’s victory in the upcoming assembly elections. They will address 55 public rallies on Sunday.

Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley will address two public meetings in Jamnagar while former national presidents of the party, Rajnath Singh and Venkaiyah Naidu, will preside over functions in Bhavnagar, Bharuch, Ankleshwar and Jamnagar.
Jharkhand CM Arjun Munda will campaign for the party in Gandevi and national VP Purushottam Rupala will do the same in Surat East, Varachha and Surat North. President of party national women’s cell, Smriti Irani will make her presence felt in Bhavnagar.   

MP CM Shivrajsinh Chauhan (Olpad, Karanj and Majura in Surat), BJP’s Gujarat Incharge Balbir Punj (Surendranagar) and his predecessor, Om Mathur (Jamnagar) will also be in the state today. BJP President Nitin Gadkari will arrive in Gujarat on Monday and address poll meetings in Olpad and Limbayat in Surat.

Chattisgarh CM Raman Singh, will be attending public meetings at Rajkot.
