Govt making mockery of democracy: Yashwant Sinha

Former union minister Yashwant Sinha took sanyas from politics on Saturday, but not without firing fresh salvos at the BJP. “I am ending my associations with the BJP,” said Sinha at the first convention of Rashtra Manch, a front floated by him in January.

Continuing with his accusations against the BJP-led-NDA government at the Centre, which includes his son Jayant Sinha, senior Sinha said, “The recently concluded Parliament session was one of the briefest ones. It was a conspiracy of Centre to not allow the Budget session to function smoothly this year. Else, why didn’t the PM intervene even once? Even the Speaker made a mockery of democracy.”
