Denying that he had any telephonic conversation with TDP leader and Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Monday put the blame on media.

Thackeray through editorial in  Saamana criticised media for 'fake news'.  Thackeray in his inimitable style has said, `we came to know about my telephonic discussion with N Chandrababu Naidu only through media.'

Criticising BJP for use and throw policy regarding alliance partners, Saamana editorial said that BJP has used alliance partners for coming to power and deserted them after use. Commenting upon Chandrababu Naidu's political career, Thackeray said thatTelugu Desam party under Naidu's leadership has availed benefits from being an alliance partner of Congress as well as that of BJP. Thackeray further commented, `Naidu should decide his due course and political journey but Shiv Sena is prepared to walk on the edge of a sword for protection of Hindutva.'

Recalling that he had recently met Trinamool Congress leader and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as a courtesy call, Thackeray said, `Banerjee was alliance partner of NDA under the leadership of Atal Behari Vajpayee. When I met her, there were many speculations running through media. The same is being repeated regarding Chandrababu Naidu. I am hopeful that a few more NDA constituents would contact Matoshree bungalow over phone and I would come to know about it through media.'

Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday alleged the BJP was trying to "upstage" his party on its home-turf, violating an understanding that underpinned the saffron alliance for over two decades. He also reiterated his party will fight all future elections alone.

Addressing a farmers' rally at Paithan in Aurangabad district of central Maharashtra, Mr Thackeray said, "The understanding in the alliance for the last 25 years was that the BJP will lead the country and we will deal with Maharashtra. Also, we didn't want a division of Hindu votes.

"We always helped them. Now they (the BJP) are trying to upstage us in our own house. What should we do?"  After his announcement last month that the Sena will contest the next Assembly as well as Lok Sabha polls alone, Mr Thackeray said there was a debate now as to who would be the loser from the decision, his party or the BJP. "Election results will show who will win or lose. The Shiv Sena will fight alone and win," he said.
