Noted human rights activist and former Delhi High Court Chief Justice Rajinder Singh Sachar passed away in Delhi on Friday.

Noted human rights activist and former Delhi High Court Chief Justice Rajinder Singh Sachar passed away in Delhi on Friday.
Sachar, 94, was under treatment at a Delhi hospital.
He was a son of veteran freedom fighter and first CM of united Punjab Bhim Sen Sachar
Sachar served as a judge at the High Court in Sikkim, Rajasthan and Delhi.
He was the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court from August 6, 1985, to December 22, 1985. Since his retirement, he has been associated with the People's Union for Civil Liberties, a rights group.
He was the chairperson of a committee set up by the previous UPA government to look at the social, economic and educational status of Muslims in India.
