As the real test of odd-even formula in New Delhi began on Monday, videos and pictures went viral on the social media showing a crowded Rajiv Chowk metro station.
But, as it turns out, the viral video is actually old. However, the people of Delhi did have a harrowing time travelling in the metro on Monday.
Those who could take their vehicles out on Monday had a smooth ride by not having to face traffic on a working day.

Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Trilokpuri, whose job involves a lot of field work says, "It's been several years that I have been roaming across the city for work and I have got used to seeing chock-a-block traffic. Today, I reached Laxmi nagar from Mehrauli in just 20 minutes. I want Delhi to get rid of traffic in long term too.”
But the metros were unusually crowded and created a havoc for the commuters.
"There was so much crowd at 9 am when I boarded the train from GTB Nagar for office. Even the ladies' coach was crowded and suffocating," said Jyoti Thukral, a daily commuter.
But, social media had a good time trolling the crowd at Rajiv Chowk metro station. Check out a few tweets here:
