Nine coaches of Secunderabad-Mumbai Duronto Express derailed near Kalburgi in Karnataka on early Saturday where two persons were killed and eight were injured in the mishap. 

The incident took place at Martur village station, about 20 kilometres from Kalburgi.  Kalburgi Superintendent of Police​, Amit Singh said. "Two people died and eight others are injured after Mumbai-bound Lokmanya Tilak Express from Secunderabad derailed at Martur station," 

The train derailed near Gulbarga at 0215 hrs on 12.9.2015 on Solapur Division of Central Railway blocking Up and Dn lines on Wadi-Gulbarga section.

Derailed coaches included B-7, B-8, B-9, Pantry Car, H-1, A-1, A-2, A-3 and Generator Car 2. Injured people were rushed to the nearest hospital at Gulbarga. Brake Down trains from Solapur, Daund and Wadi were rushed to the site. Senior railway officers reached the site to oversee the restoration work. Dn main line has been restored for rail traffic at 0540 hrs.
