Dr. Subhash Chandra, chairman, Essel Group and ZEE addressed Management students at one of the country’s premier institutions, IMT Ghaziabad. Dr. Chandra's talk was telecast during The Dr Subhash Chandra Show, a Zee Media Corporation’s flagship show and focused on the topic of 'Time Management'.

Commenting on the importance of time on the show, Dr. Chandra said, “There is no difference between time management and life management. Life and time are interlinked. Suppose, If I am a subject and the whole universe is an object. So, when a subject meets the object then an experienced is formed. Those series of experiences over time form life.”

He also said that effective time management not only helps to improve productivity but also helps you to achieve your goals. As an entrepreneur, one has a limited amount of time and needs to use it wisely.

In an interactive discussion with the students during the show, Dr. Chandra quizzed the students on what they think about time and effective time management. After considering varied responses from the students, he said, “You must have heard the famous saying from various people that wealth can come back, health can come back but bringing back time is near to impossible.”

Giving an interesting point of view on the importance of 'time', Dr. Chandra said, “Time is like a messenger that keeps a log of the entire universe. Whatever you do is recorded by the ever continuing 'time'.”

He further added and said that managing your time effectively should be a custom or a way of your life. Being punctual can sometimes be a compulsion but time management should never be dealt in that manner. He said, “You need to control time, do not let time control you. The one thing that I have understood in the past three-four days while reading about the topic is that the person who can manage time effectively can do achieve he wants.”

Stating the views of an influential writer he said, 'You should not be like a machine in an effort to control time though, you should enjoy the time while utilising it positively. Management of time teaches you how to work smart not work hard. However, you shouldn't shy away from working hard but you should learn how to work smart to learn the perfect utilisation of time.'
