3. After saying Muslims 'can live in India if they give up beef', Haryana CM says govt may allow foreigners to eat it!
The Haryana government is considering allowing foreigners to eat beef in the state, CM Manohar Lal Khattar said.In March 2015, the Haryana passed a law that made cow slaughter punishable with a fine of Rs 1 lakh and 10 years of rigorous punishment. 5. Cancer, HIV medicines to cost more as govt withdraws customs exemption on 74 drugs
As many as 74 drugs, including life saving ones used for treating cancer and HIV, will see sharp rise in prices as the government has withdrawn customs duty exemption on their imports. The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) last week issued a notification withdrawing exemption of levy of basic customs duty on as many as 74 drugs. Read more here.
