DMK chief M Karunanidhi on Thursday refused to respond to reports suggesting rapprochement with his son and expelled party leader MK Alagiri, saying he doesn't want to feed the media with any information on this matter.

"I don't want to feed the journalists," was the 90- year-old leader's cryptic remark when reporters asked him whether the Madurai-based Alagiri would be readmitted into the party. Karunanidhi's response comes in the background of reports of a patch-up between him and Alagiri, who was expelled from DMK early this year for indiscipline in the wake of the power tussle in the party's first family involving his Chennai-based sibling and DMK Treasurer MK Stalin.

When asked about Supreme Court's refusal to restrain CBI from filing a charge sheet against his grandnephew Dayanidhi Maran in the Aircel-Maxis deal case, Karunanidhi declined to respond, saying "I am getting to know about this only from you now."
