Devendra Fadnavis lauds ABVP, says it is making mark in Bengal, Kerala

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday said youngsters constitute a major chunk of the country's population and hence, they have the responsibility of inculcating a sense of nationalism and patriotism among the masses.

Lauding the role of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in national reconstruction and student-related activities, he said the BJP-wing was committed to all-round development in the country. Fadnavis, who was once associated with ABVP, was speaking after inaugurating a new building of the student organisation in the city.

Those below 25 years of age constitute a major chunk of the country's population. A big responsibility lies on their shoulders to carry forward the duty of inculcating a sense of nationalism and patriotism among people, he said.
ABVP activists, over the years, have shown tremendous will power and fighting spirit. After facing setbacks, ups and downs in their history, they are are now tasting success in student elections in universities like Delhi-based JNU and even in West Bengal and Kerala, the Chief Minister said.

Spiritual guru Jitendra Maharaj, Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Sancheti and District Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, among others, were present on the occasion.
