A delivery man was allegedly stabbed for more than 20 times by a woman for delaying her delivery she purchased from an online marketing site in Delhi's Nihar Vihar area.

The 28-year-old Flipkart delivery man identified as Keshav was stabbed multiple times after he failed to deliver a mobile phone ordered by 30-year-old woman, Kamal Deep, who accused him of delaying the delivery, according to The Hindu report. He is reportedly battling for his life in a hospital.

On March 21, the police received a call on Police Control Room (PCR) stating that a man was lying injured near a drain Chander Vihar area. A team was immediately rushed to the site and the victim was taken to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital.

The victim in his statement to the police said that when he came to deliver the accused's mobile phone that cost Rs 11,000, she went all ballistic on him and started screaming about the delayed delivery. Things got heated up and the woman went inside the kitchen and came back with a knife and started stabbing him multiple times. The accused's brother, who heard the screams, tried to intervene in the matter but she warned him to either help her 'teach a lesson' to the victim or stay away from the matter. The sister-brother duo then tried to strangle the victim with a shoe lace.

“After finding him motionless, they robbed Rs 40,000 cash he had collected by delivering items. They dumped him near a drain during late night in a van. The victim has been stabbed all over the body. During the scuffle, he fell down and the accused woman sat on his abdomen and attacked him with a knife,” a police official said.

According to the victim, he was late at making the delivery as he could not locate the house as he was new to the area. The woman earlier called him multiple times on his mobile phone and complained about the delay. She kept on screaming when she called.

Flipkart on Wednesday issued a statement of the attack and said they are working to ensure best medical treatment is provided to the victim.

"There was an unfortunate attack on one of our delivery boys recently. We are working to ensure that he gets the best medical care and recovers soon. As an organisation we are committed to do everything for his health and his family's well being, ," Flipkart tweeted on their official Twitter page.

The accused sibling was arrested by the police on Wednesday. The duo even tried to mislead the police during the investigation. However, a CCTV camera in the opposite building captured the delivery man making an entrance and the siblings taking out his body.

According to the neighbours' statement, the accused woman is known as short tempered who easily gets into arguments over minor issues with the neighbours.

Around Rs 40,000 cash, a knife, towel with blood stains all over it and shoe laces that were used to suffocate the victim, was recovered from the accused house that was all stuffed in the Flipkart bag of the victim. Also a van used in the crime scene was also recovered by the police.
