Delhi: Class 11 student stabbed by junior after fight

 A Class 11 student was injured after being stabbed multiple times by a junior following a fight at a government school in Shahdara's Krishna Nagar area on Thursday, police said.

The incident occurred in the school ground after morning prayers, they said, adding that the senior used to often tease his junior, who is an adult, which enraged the latter. The student sustained an injury in his right hand, one on his leg and three on his back. He has been hospitalised and is stated to be stable, they said, adding the accused student has been arrested. The knife, used to attack the victim, has been recovered.

A student from the school said the accused is a student of Class 10 and had even got into a fight on Wednesday. "They fought with each other over some petty issue. One of the teachers had also intervened to resolve the issue. "The teacher had blamed the victim over the issue. Both the students had a heated argument yesterday. Today, this boy came to school and attacked the other boy with a knife in everyone's presence," the student claimed. He added that the victim sustained severe injuries on his back and hand.
