A sting operation conducted by Zee News has revealed how girls are exploited in the pubs and bars frequented by the rich and influential in the national capital. The pubs even allow the minors entry and seldom check the identity of the visitors.

A team of correspondents  from Zee News visited a popular bar in Connaught Place, Central Delhi, with an underage girl without any proof of identity or age proof. The guards let them inside the pub promptly.  Trying to find out whether the ID proof is just a formality, the team also asked the guards on whose permission they were letting the group inside.

The guards said that people come there with girls and, on the sly ask the girls to be served a lot of alcohol. The boys then make use of the opportunity when the girls get very drunk and kidnap them.

Excerpts of the Operation Alcohol:
At the entrance:
Guards: show your ID proof
Undercover agent: We do not have any ID
The guard then asks his colleague: Kamlesh, what do we do?
Kamlesh: Let them in.

After some conversation, they allow us to go inside without any ID or age proof.

Trying to find out whether the ID proof is just a formality, we asked them on whose permission they were letting us inside.

Undercover agent: This is Kamlesh ji. Who is he?
Waiter: He is the manager here.

The story was run on Zee News' Crime Reporter. The show, hosted by senior journalist Naveen Kumar, is aired from Monday to Friday at 11 pm on Zee News, Zee Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Zee Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh; and at 11:30 pm on Zee Rajasthan.
