A Delhi court on Tuesday dismissed the bail plea of Mohd Zakaria, father-in-law of LeT bomb expert Abdul Karim Tunda, arrested in connection with a case against them for allegedly helping in infiltration of Pakistani and Bangladeshi terrorists into India in 1997.

Zakaria, through his lawyer M S Khan, had yesterday moved his bail plea claiming he was falsely implicated by the special cell of Delhi Police.
During the arguments on the plea, advocate Khan said that Zakaria has been arrested on the basis of the disclosure statement of his son-in-law Tunda and disclosure of an accused is not a substantive piece of evidence.
Khan also referred to judgements by the Supreme Court and the Delhi High Court to buttress his arguments.
The police, however, opposed Zakaria's plea claiming that he was involved in helping various Pakistani and Bangladeshi terrorists to infiltrate into India to carry out terror strikes across the country.
The prosecutor said that the investigation was at a crucial stage and Zakaria should not be granted bail considering the seriousness of the case.
The court had yesterday extended till October 28 the judicial custody of Zakaria, Allauddin and Mohd Basiruddin, two close aides of Tunda, in connection with the case.
The special cell had earlier claimed that Allauddin and Basiruddin had met Tunda in 1994 through Zakaria before joining LeT.
The three accused were lodged in separate jails in West Bengal in connection with cases lodged there and were earlier produced before the court here after issuance of production warrants against them.
Tunda is one of the 20 terrorists whom India had asked Pakistan government to hand over after the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
He is suspected to be involved in 40 bombings in India. He is the first on the list to be arrested. Tunda was arrested from Indo-Nepal border at Banbasa on August 16.
He was earlier remanded in police custody for questioning in connection with 37 bomb blast cases across the country.
A number of Pakistani nationals and others were arrested in 1998 in connection with the 37 bomb blasts in and around Delhi.
