Congress today disapproved of the reported meeting of Kashmiri separatist leaders with terror masterminds Hafiz Saeed and Syed Salahuddin in Pakistan describing it as a "breach of trust" and "anti-Indian".

"I think that was an unfortunate incident. People going to Pakistan is not a problem with us but if the groups from here go and breach trust and meet the agencies of people in Pakistan who are particularly anti-Indian, that needs to be stopped," party spokesperson Sandip Dikshit said.

He clarified that the group had gone to Pakistan but it was not the intention of the government of India that they go and meet Hafiz Saeed.

He was responding to questions on the visit of Hurriyat delegation to Pakistan last month during which they reportedly met Saeed and Syed Salahuddin, whom India has named as terror masterminds.

The report had it that the duo had told the delegation that armed militancy would revive in the Valley in 2014.

Hafiz Saeed is considered the mastermind behind the November 2008 Mumbai terror strike that left 174 people dead.
