Samajwadi Party supremo and former defence minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, on Wednesday, warned that China is fully prepared to declare a war on India at any point of time. He also cautioned that the government must thus act fast and go back on its stand on Tibet. Speaking in the Lok Sabha during the zero hour, he asked the government to support the freedom struggle in Tibet to create a buffer between India and China.

He also said that the previous government made a huge mistake by recognising Tibet as part of China. Yadav said the protection of Bhutan and Sikkim were twin responsibilities of the government to keep China at bay.

Claiming that China has buried nukes in Pakistan, Yadav said India's biggest threat is China, as the latter is incapable of doing much harm. He said that India should now be wise and take Pakistan on its side. "India faces a greater threat from China. I have been cautioning the Centre for years. No one paid much heed. Now, China has joined hands with Pakistan and has made full preparations to attack India," he said.

Without naming former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, he said that the Congress stalwart made a "big mistake" on the Tibet issue and added that even then he had spoken against it. Tibetan leaders like Dalai Lama have always supported India, he said.

"Time has come to support the independence of Tibet as it had been a traditional buffer between the two big nations. India should extend maximum support to the Dalai Lama. China is our enemy, not Pakistan. Pakistan can do us no damage," he said.
