Centre's Special Representative Dineshwar Sharma kick-started `Mission Kashmir' 2.0 by paying obeisance at the revered Sufi shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Hamza Maqdoom Sahab in the old Srinagar city on Thursday.

Wearing a skull cap, Sharma drove to the shrine in the afternoon to seek the blessings of the Sufi saint. During his visit, an elderly person told the interlocutor they do not want war but peaceful negotiations to solve this issue.

"Kashmiris do not accept the line that divides Jammu and Kashmir. One country says Kashmir is their juglar vain another says it is their integral part. We do not want war. We want talks to solve this issue," the man told the interlocutor.

Centre's Special Representative later said he has come to pray for peace in the state. "I have come here to pay for permanent peace in Jammu and Kashmir," he said.

An official spokesman said Sharma apprised the Chief Minister about his recent interactions with a cross section of society in different areas and the situation along the borders in the State.

Sharma also called on Governor NN Vohra and held extensive discussions on issues pertaining to maintaining of peace and normalcy in the state.
