Caught on Camera: Gujarat cop dancing on stage with a woman while on duty

A video has surfaced this week of a Gujarat cop forgetting all the protocols and dancing with a woman while in uniform. The video that shows the cop showering money on the woman and later joining her on stage to shake a leg has gone viral on the internet.

"We have initiated inquiry against Police Sub-Inspector D C Solanki after we saw his video where he was seen dancing with a bar-girl in Dindoli area in Surat city, even when he was on duty," Police Inspector J M Baloch of Dindoli Police Station said. He had gone for 'Vishwakarma Pooja' in September. Here he is seen showering money on the dancer and slowly getting on to the stage to dance with her.

The performance was recorded on phone camera and was circulated extensively on mobile messaging application Whatsapp. The video has come back three months after the incident to haunt the sub-inspector. 

The Surat Police has submitted the preliminary report to the city police commissioner and the further course of action will be decided soon. Solanki has been suspended for indulging in activities that are against the police norm of behaviour.
