As commuters faced heavy traffic jam in Gurugram on Delhi-Jaipur highway following monsoon showers on Thursday and Friday, blame game ensued between chief ministers of the two states.
Gurugram has been facing massive traffic jams since Thursday evening following the rains. Hundreds were stuck in traffic for hours with over four feet of water reported in parts of the expressway.

ANI reported that the highway was jammed on Friday due to water logging following monsoon showers. Police has directed travellers from Delhi to stay away from the highway to avoid getting caught in the jam.
Deputy Delhi CM Manish Sisodia tweeted saying, "Simply renaming Gurgaon as Gurugram does not lead to development. For that you need plans and execution. Jumlon se Jam Nahin Khulega."
गुड़गांव का नाम गुरुग्राम रखने से विकास नहीं होता। विकास के लिए योजनाएं बनाना और उनपर अमल करना ज़रूरी होता है। जुमलों से जाम नहीं खुलेगा।

Since Thursday night, the Gurgaon Police had been working to sort of traffic jams caused by waterlogging on the roads and highways. Commuters had been stuck in the jam for hours.
The police Twitter handle tweeted saying, "NH8 Jaipur traffic is completely blocked at HeroHonda Chowk due to flooding in Badshahpur drain and gates of Najafgarh drain closed by Delhi. To clear the NH8 jam several teams of police officers led by DCPs working right now. Expect to divert all stuck vehicles in next 2 hours."
On Friday morning the police continued to update commuters through Twitter:
