Senior Congress leader Shankersinh Vaghela on Tuesday alleged that the BJP has been helping terror outfit Islamic State spread its network in Gujarat. Vaghela claimed that the BJP never hesitated to take the help of such 'anti-social elements' for political gains.

"BJP never hesitate to take help of such global anti-social elements for political purposes. The BJP can go up to any limit. In Gujarat, Islamic State is spreading its network with the help of the BJP," Vaghela alleged in a press release. He claimed that local BJP leaders are trying to woo some Muslim clerics who are not loyal to the country.

"At the behest of state government, some BJP men are trying to woo Muslim religious leaders who are not loyal to India. Such acts will dilute harmony and peace in the state," Vaghela alleged. Without naming Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vaghela alleged that BJP had put aside important issues to gain power.

"During recent election rallies in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP leaders didn't say a word about Article 370 or Pakistan sponsored terrorist activities. They shamelessly begged for votes and didn't even hesitate to hold talks with such (anti-India) elements," Vaghela said.

He said cross-border attacks from Pakistan have increased several fold since BJP came to power at the Centre. "BJP can do all kinds of compromises to acquire power. Attacks from Pakistan under BJP rule have increased exponentially to such an extent that around 12 people were killed in Jammu when our PM held a rally amidst heavy army deployment. The situation is getting worse everyday," Vaghela said.
