The Opposition on Monday attacked the state government saying that Bihar had become synonymous with gang-rape following the gang-rape and death of a Mahadalit woman in Bihar's Bhojpur district on Sunday.
The leader of the Opposition in Bihar legislative assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav took to Twitter on Monday and wrote, "Bihar has become a synonym for gang-rape. But there are no talks of jungleraj anywhere because 'Balatkari Janata Party' is running a government made with uncle Nitish using the back door."
Tejashwi also condemned the "BJP led Nitish government for protecting rapists and criminals" and dared them to speak on the issue.
Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi hit back at the Opposition and said that "thousands of rapes have been reported during 15 years of Lalu-Rabri regime too".
