During his rally in Bihar, the PM had attacked the "politically opportunistic" JD(U)-RJD alliance in Bihar repeatedly, invoking the spectre of "Jungle Raj", which he warned the coalition would usher in, if voted to power.
Yadav reminded Modi that Bihar is the only state which remained riot free despite riots in various states after senior BJP leader LK Advani's Rathyatra in 1991, which was followed by the demolition of the Babri mosque.
"Many people were killed in the riots. Who was responsible for it. When Bihar never witnessed any riots since the country became independent, how can Modi call it a Jungle Raj," Yadav said.
Speaking to reporters during a brief halt in the city here this evening, Yadav said that he had visited a tribal dominated town in Bharuch district to address a huge tribal rally.
Yadav also criticised Modi for the appointment of BJP leader Ramnath Kovind as governor of poll-bound Bihar, adding that it would damage the federal structure of the country.
He said that the Centre and the home minister has to talk to the state government and its Chief Minister before appointing governors. Yadav demanded an apology from PM Modi for his remarks about Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's DNA. "Modi should apologise because he has insulted the people of Bihar," he said.
"Modi has to apologise for his abusive words against Nitish Kumar. We want his apology and nothing less," Yadav said.
"The two-week long logjam in parliament demanding resignations of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will continue until the opposition's demands are conceded," he said.
Yadav also questioned Modi not breaking his silence even after two weeks of the parliament logjam, alleging that he follows instructions from the RSS headquarters in Nagpur. "Why does Modi not come forward and talk to leaders of opposition parties to break the logjam in parliament," Yadav asked, reiterating the opposition's resolve to continue its agitation.
