While Lalu Yadav's elder son Tej Pratap Yadav, who handles the social media team of Rashtriya Janata Dal, failed to create an impact with his words during 2014 election campaigns, Lalu Prasad Yadav had no choice left but to resort to his younger son Tejaswi Yadav to carry forward his legacy.

Unlike his brother, 25 years old Tejaswi is much vocal on stage and has nerve to handle the crowd.

Like his father, Tejaswi too has rhymed lines and creative dialogues in his speech to keep the crowd hooked . On a stage that the junior Yadav shared with Rahul Gandhi last week in Champaran, he said, "People of Bihar are not 'Bikaau' (Saleable), people of Bihar are 'tikaau' (tenable)." Another statement that he made was, "When thieves come, they steal and go, when robbers come, they rob and leave but when a fraud comes, he lives among you, and cheats you and keep you in dark and as a voter we should be more worried about the latter."

Last year in April, in a public rally Tejashwi had attacked the 'elitism' of the Bhartiya Janata Party, "They come to you, pretend to be yours', shake hands with you and soon after leaving wash their hands with sanitiser."

Taking on PM Narendra Modi, he had said in the same speech, "Har-har Modi, ghar-ghar Modi is not a right slogan, it's badbad Modi, gadbad Modi (loudmouth and a fraud)."

Not as extra-ordinary as his father in-terms of speech, but Tejaswi is a better orator than the likes of Chirag Paswan and other young guns of Bihar. He is confident in answering the tough questions posed by media.

In a press conference when he was asked about nepotism and dynastic politics, he gave the press 21 names from NDA including BJP and LJP and said, "Ask them to give it in writing that they will withdraw such candidates, and I guarantee you RJD will do the same."

Tejaswi is contesting his maiden polls from his family's traditional seat Raghopur once held by his mother Rabri Devi, a former chief minister, who was trounced by the JD(U)'s Satish Rai at hustings in 2010 Assembly polls. The JD(U) has this time denied ticket to Satish Rai to accommodate Tejaswi who then switched side to join BJP to contest the polls.  An aspiring cricketer who somehow managed to get a place in IPL with Delhi Daredevils, Tejaswi Yadav  doesn't have bright records in any of the formats in cricket and as a politician he is yet to be tested. Unlike Lalu Yadav, he is not that sort of a crowd-puller but it's too soon to judge his abilities.
