A Social Media analyst from Bengaluru was in for a rude shock after she cancelled her Ola cab service.
Michelle Alvez, a Bengaluru based artist and social media analyst had booked an Ola cab on Tuesday. However, a minute after she booked it, she cancelled the service.
But soon after she got a message from the driver with an expletive. Alvez took a screenshot of the message and posted it on Twitter. She tweeted saying, "Had to cancel my cab two minutes after booking yesterday because of an issue. This is how Ola cabs drivers respond to you."
Ola cab responded by saying that they have fired driver with immediate effect.
@Micha_Alvez In response to our discussion, we have terminated the driver with immediate effect. We standby to our promise to your safety.

Alvez told Buzzfeed that she had to cancel the booking as her friends at work wanted her to stay back till midnight as it would be unsafe for her to travel at that hour. “It was my birthday and my friends at work wanted me to stay with them till midnight. My colleagues felt it would be unsafe for me to travel home alone late, so I cancelled the cab a minute after booking.”
I hope this will not lead to any backlash from the driver personally. https://t.co/5JJAYINUAB
