Zee News is now in possession of an exclusive audio conversation tape from confirmed sources of Dawood interacting with one Iqbal from Karachi on a project in Dubai that involves monetary transaction. The length of the conversation is around two minutes where Dawood said, "Ok, I will inform, Yasir is here only in Karachi. I will talk to him."
The audio dialogue between Dawood and Iqbal just shows that India's most wanted is in Pakistan.
In the audio conversation, Iqbal tells Dawood, "So at this moment there is a requirement of three lakh dirhams (equivalent to Rs 50,80,000)." The conversation hints at some pending work which was going on in Dubai. It was presumed that Dawood before coming to Pakistan was in Dubai for many years and purportedly has huge property business there.
In 2008, New Delhi handed over to Islamabad a dossier of 20 most wanted men, including underworld don Dawood Ibrahim – who was number 2 on the list – and JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar, demanding their extradition.
Dawood is on the most wanted list of the International Police (Interpol) for cheating, criminal conspiracy and organised crime syndicate. In 2003, the Department of Treasury, US had designated Dawood as a 'specially designated global terrorist'.
