Controversial self-styled godman Asaram on Tuesday exuded confidence of getting released from Jodhpur prison in next two days. Asaram is lodged in jail since September 2 in a sexual assault case. Indicating his possible release from jail, Asaram said, “It’s a game of two days. You can see after two days.”
Asked whether BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi would become Prime Minister, Asaram replied, “God knows better.”
Asaram had earlier accused Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi of conspiring against him.
Notably, exit polls started to predict that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) may form the next coalition government as India completed polling of votes in nine phases for its 16th Lok Sabha on 12 May. The general elections were held for 35 days in April and May.
