Delhi CM designate and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday met Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu at Delhi's Nirman Bhavan.

The move is a likely result of AAP's electoral promise to provide housing for all in Delhi. When questioned about Kejriwal's meeting with Naidu, senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia said Kejriwal had discussed issues of land availability for schools, colleges, housing, parking spaces etc.

Sisodia also said that Kejriwal had spoken to Naidu about full statehood for Delhi.

Over the course of Wednesday, the AAP chief is expected to meet Home Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss issues of law and order - particularly women's security - in the capital, a city notorious for high incidence of crimes against women. Law and order in Delhi still falls under the control of the central government.

Kejriwal is also expected to meet PM Modi on Thursday to invite the latter for his swearing-in ceremony at Ramleela Maidan on February 14. Modi though has a meeting with NCP chief Sharad Pawar on the same day, so his presence at the ceremony may be under doubt.

Apart from Modi, the Union Cabinet as well as Kiran Bedi, former CM Shiela Dikshit and Anna Hazare are also likely to get an invitation for the swearing in.

Reportedly, AAP will also hold a big roadshow before the swearing in, in an apparent show of strength and to mobilise the common public for the swearing-in.

However, AAP sources told news channels that the Arvind Kejriwal cabinet had not yet been finalised.

AAP won 67 out of 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections on Tuesday, trouncing a powerful BJP, which managed just three seats. Congress fared even worse, winning zero seats with 63 of their 70 candidates having to forfeit their deposits.
