People's Democratic Party and Bharatiya Janata Party will soon close the deal and will soon be making a formal announcement on government formation, say reports.
Talks between both parties have been finalised with Article 370 and AFSPA being the only hurdles left to lock the deal. According to TV reports, PDP is demanding a written assurance over revocation of AFSPA and Article 370, while the RSS demanded that BJP not waver away from its position on the matter. The report says that following BJP's massive defeat in Delhi polls, some PDP members have asked the party to not back down from its demands. PM Narendra Modi will take a call on these issues, say reports.
The BJP has agreed to PDP to lead the government and PDP chief Mufti Mohammed Sayyed will take over as the chief minister of the state, says a Zee news report.
People's Democratic Party and Bharatiya Janata Party have gone back to the drawing board trying to save the possible alliance from breaking-down after the differences surfaced over some of the key issues that could jeopardize the government formation in Jammu and Kashmir.
