Arjan Singh, Marshal of Indian Air Force, critically ill
Marshal of Indian Air Force Arjan Singh has been hospitalised in critical condition at the Research and Referral Hospital in New Delhi on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited him at the R&R. The Marshall, 98, suffered a cardiac arrest in morning, a defence ministry statement said. Gurmeet Ram Rahim murder trial: 'Was scared they would kill me and son,' says Dera chief's former driver
He retracted his statement in 2012, but now, Khatta Singh, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's former driver and a witness in the murder cases filed against him, has moved an application in a special CBI court here to record a fresh one. "Khatta Singh changed his 2007 statement in 2012 out of fear. With the changed circumstance, he has decided to appear before the court and give his statement," said Singh's lawyer. In a move that has shocked their family and friends, a couple has decided to renounce the world and become monks, leaving behind their three-year-old daughter and property worth Rs 100 crore. According to a Hindustan Times report, the Jain couple Sumit and Anamika Rathore, currently on a vow of silence, will take 'deeksha' from Sudhamargi Jain Acharya Ramlal Maharaj at Surat in Gujarat on September 23.
