Anupam Kher hopeful of Kiran Bedi government in Delhi

Firmly believing in BJP rule at the Centre, Bollywood actor Anupam Kher said on Sunday that BJP's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi would form the government in Delhi after the February 7 Assembly polls.

Firmly believing in BJP rule at the Centre, Bollywood actor Anupam Kher said on Sunday that BJP's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi would form the government in Delhi after the February 7 Assembly polls.


"Kiran Bedi ki sarkar banegi...election se banegi, Delhi assembly polls mein (Kiran Bedi would form the government... will be elected in poll process in Delhi Assembly polls)," he said after inaugurating the Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) at Gocha Cinema.

When asked about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first six months of rule, Kher praised him, saying, "Best to best. It is country's luck that we have such a Prime Minister." Kher however refused to comment on the Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's controversial movie Messenger of God (MSG), saying, "I do not know. I did not see it."

On the resignation of all the Censor Board members, he said the its former chief Leela Samson was playing politics. "It was a political matter. Leela Samson, chief of Censor Board, was playing politics. She should not have played politics on such issues," he said. On his serial "Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai" which has not been running recently, he said it would start in April, and a script is being prepared for it, adding, "Let us see who will be the next person in its feature."
