Admission 2015: Which are India's best ranked Universities

Zee News has done a survey in association with Prastut Consulting  to select the top 50 Universities of India. The survey conducted in 27 centres took opinion of 2454 people to compile the final rankings.

The top 50 Universities have been divided into 4 categories: National, Regional, Govt/Private, Traditional/ Professional.  Apart from students studying or interested in pursuing Science, Humanities and Commerce, the survey also covered those who are studying various  professional courses and also management students. Views of parents, faculty members and HR professionals have also been taken into  consideration. Some of the parameters used to rate the universities are history and reputation, admission process, Course curriculum,  learning environment, faculty competence, infrastructure, exchange programme with foreign universities, research facility, labs,  hostel facility, placement, new innovative courses.

 Among top 30 national universities the numero uno position has been taken by Benaras Hindu University. Others in top 5 were  University of Delhi, University of Pune, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Punjab University.  SRM Universityu has been adjudged the best private university, followed by Manipal University.
