Amid allegations of involvement of politicians in the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) admission scam, the AAP on Wednesday demanded the Delhi Police to make the names of those linked to it public.

The Delhi Police has arrested Gurmeet, alias Prince, an alleged kingpin of the EWS scam, who facilitated admissions in schools under the EWS section by forging documents. The police has already arrested his wife Punita and daughter Kajal for aiding him.

Delhi unit convenor of AAP Dilip Pandey said names of a former Congress minister and a BJP MLA has cropped up during the interrogation and the police should reveal their names.

"The Delhi Police addresses a press conference if there is something related to the Aam Aadmi Party. Now when the names of the BJP and Congress people are involved they should also name them. Let people know about them as they have served as elected representatives," Pandey said.

He added that Prince was merely a pawn and the real mastermind are still to be apprehended.

"A survey by an NGO has revealed that only 3 per cent of the EWS people know about the quota available for them in private schools," Pandey added.
