Congress leader Ajay Maken on Wednesday took on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over allegations of horse-trading against party chief Arvind Kejriwal and alleged that it is a group of people who are craving for power.

"During the course of elections, at that time also I had said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had approached the Congress party, and Aam Aadmi Party wanted the support of Congress party to form their own government," Maken told the media.
"I had said that Aam Aadmi Party in certain aspects is even worse than any other political party, it's a group of people who are craving for power. They can go to any extent to get power and at that time no one believed us. At that when I had said that Aam Aadmi Party approached the Congress party to seek its support and Congress party refused, they wanted to get individual support of our MLAs," he added.
Maken further said the Congress party's stand is vindicated following the sting operation that has come out in the open.
"So, now when this sting operation or audio clip of talk between one of the former MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party and the Chief Minister has come out, I think our stand is vindicated. At that time also we did not wanted to stoop down to level of maiming people who approached us but we gave enough indications that Congress party was approached; one of our MLAs was targeted by the Aam Aadmi Party. But I must compliment our eight MLAs who stood firm to their ground," he added.
Earlier in the day, AAP's senior member from Maharashtra Anjali Damania quit over allegations of horse-trading against Kejriwal. With her tweet, she linked the video of a news report by a TV channel featuring the recording of a purported telephone conversation between former AAP legislator Rajesh Garg and a man who he alleges is Kejriwal.
Damania's disclosure comes at a time when the AAP has been plunged into an internal crisis, with Kejriwal's supporters seeking the ouster of founder members Yogendra Yadav and Prasahant Bhushan. The AAP chief's supporters have accused the duo of attempting to unseat Kejriwal and of having tried to ensure that the party lost the Delhi Assembly polls.
