Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today attacked political opponents for their alleged double standards on corruption and appealed to people to overthrow dynastic political outfits from the country.
Addressing the party's maiden volunteer meeting here, AAP National Executive member Yogendra Yadav criticised BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for re-inducting leaders like Y S Yeddyurappa after the party removed him from CM post on corruption grounds.
Yadav, who sat with the volunteers on ground and went to the stage only to deliver his speech, promised to field candidates with clean and honest image in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and appealed to volunteers to start preparations in full swing.
He attacked the political parties in Haryana calling them "family business oufits."
"Late Deputy Prime Minister Devi Lal changed the name of his party several times, but it was known as 'Devi Lal and sons party', now it is 'Chautala and sons party', similar is the case with Bhajan Lal and B S Hooda," he said.
"We have made it clear that only one person from a family will become a leader and candidate with AAP," Yadav said.
He claimed that all the parties are afraid of the AAP as it is empowering the comman man.
Yadav praised Kejriwal government in Delhi for its initiatives to provide subsidy on water and power.
"The first thing which AAP government has done is to provide water to the masses...which is the basic need of the common man," he said.
Recalling his student days spent in Chandigarh, he told the crowd how he shifted from the upscale Sector 11 rented accommodation to Daddu Majra as he did not like the upmarket mannerism.
