Thirty nine policemen in the district have been suspended for alleged negligence in poll duties during the ongoing panchayat elections. Those suspended yesterday include three assistant sub-inspectors, 11 head constables and 25 constables, Shivpuri District Superintendent of Police M L Chhari said on Friday.

Those suspended yesterday include three assistant sub-inspectors, 11 head constables and 25 constables, Shivpuri District Superintendent of Police M L Chhari said on Friday.
The action was taken after the police personnel failed to perform their poll duties as per the rules at Khaniyadhana and Badarwas janpad panchayats, the SP added.
