Three jawans and five terrorists have reportedly been killed in Kupwara district of north Kashmir, in two separate gun battle incidences that have been ongoing since Saturday.
One jawan was killed, while another militant was gunned down on Tuesday morning. So far, three soldiers and five terrorists have been killed the encounter in Kalaroos forest area. This is the fourth fatality suffered by army in Kupwara district in the past two days.
Meanwhile, a dead body of GDR Rahul Kumar of 23 GDR Battalion, who lost his life in Kupwara encounter on Monday was brought to his village in Bulandshahr on Tuesday morning.

Extending ceasefire violations to Samba district, Pakistan troops, on Monday, heavily shelled and fired upon 40 Border Out Posts (BoPs) and 24 villages along the International Border in Jammu, leaving three persons injured.
Since July 16, there have been 35 ceasefire violations.
