An 11 year old boy from Agra has sought financial help from PM Modi and UP CM Akhilesh Yadav.
In an emotional appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, an 11-year-old boy from Agra has sought financial assistance for treatment of his blood cancer.
"I have sought help from the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister. I have seen them on the television helping all. So, I wrote to them. Please help me Prime Minister uncle and Chief Minister uncle. I am hopeful they will help me," the boy Ansh said.
Ansh's mother Pooja said that they have sold almost everything for his treatment, adding they are now looking forward for help. "Ansh has blood cancer. We got to know of this when he was eight years old. We had admitted him in a hospital in Delhi, from where he was referred to Jaipur. There, his treatment went on for 2.5 years. His testis has cysts now. One was operated," said the grief stricken mother. "Now, he is continuously under treatment for the last three years. We have sold almost everything for his treatment. We are facing problem even to buy food. We are extremely worried," she added.
Ansh's father Krishan said he looks forward to assistance from Prime Minister Modi and the Chief Minister. "I am a labourer. I spent all my money and took debts for his treatment. Now, I have nothing left and I am deep neck in debts. I want the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister to help my son. We have seen on television that they help people. So, even we are hopeful that they will help us," he added.
Earlier on Saturday, June 25, 2016, Prime Minister Modi met a six-year-old girl in Pune who had written to him seeking help for her heart surgery owing to poor financial condition of her family.
The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) responded promptly and arranged help through the Pune district administration for the girl Vaishali, who needed surgery for a hole in her heart. She was operated upon successfully early this month at a city hospital.
