"A total 130 criminal cases were registered after 102 state government staffers were caught red-handed accepting bribe in 83 traps laid by the anti-corruption watchdog last year in the division," Indore Lokayukta Superintendent of Police Arun Mishra told PTI on Friday.

He said that ill-gotten swanky houses, besides properties fetching Rs 7 to 8 crore according to present market value, of three officers including assistant engineer, have been attached under Madhya Pradesh Special Court Law, 2011 during last year in the division. The attached immovable properties are being used to run 'aanganwadis' and schools, he said.

The Lokayukta police registered 37 cases against people for "misusing" official position, he said. Besides, chargesheets were filed in special courts in connection with 45 cases of corruption, Mishra said.
